SSAT is delighted to invite Primary School members to join a forum with Professor Guy Claxton.
The forum will have a curriculum and learning focus helping schools to think about how to deliver inspirational learning experiences for all students against a backdrop of the challenges within the current education climate.
Professor Guy Claxton
Professor Claxton will lead reflective discussion and debate to assist schools in providing a fresh approach for the primary classroom which helps students increase awareness of their own learning and become confident, capable and enthusiastic learners in school and out.
With an uncompromising focus on quality learning and educational innovation, the forum will explore the shifts required in areas such as teaching and learning, culture and whole school leadership.
SSAT’s National Primary Headteacher Steering Group has on many occasions reasoned that there has never been a greater need for leaders and practitioner colleagues within the network to work together to shape creative solutions in this challenging educational landscape. This is an opportunity to do exactly that and a unique opportunity to work very closely with a leading expert to generate new ideas and models of practice within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The forum opportunities will be available as follows:
- Wednesday 7 November 2012, Chorlton Park Primary School, Manchester, 10.00am – 2.30pm
- Monday 12 November 2012, Chiswick School, London, 10.00am – 2.30pm
