Why are SSAT licensing schools to deliver?
There is a need for nationally recognised, accredited and quality assured leadership programmes. During the past decade the schools system and wider educational structures that support it have undergone significant change. A schools led self-improving system is becoming an increasing reality, with growth in school-to-school collaborative partnerships, Multi Academy Trusts and Teaching Schools. The ‘by schools, for schools’ principle is one SSAT have long advocated – we have always worked with schools to share the best of national practice across our network. In addition, schools now have greater powers of autonomy over their finances and are developing their own commercial revenue streams through the sharing of expertise. It is these factors combined with SSAT’s well-established reputation for leadership development that make this the right time offer a licenced leadership model.
Why become an SSAT licensed leadership provider?
This is an opportunity for schools with a commitment to leadership development to both train their own staff and reach their wider networks with high quality nationally accredited leadership training. The modules available within the programmes can be delivered as cost-effective CPD to your own staff and/or be marketed commercially to other schools to provide a source of income generation for the school. As part of the licence agreement and quality assurance process, two of your staff will be fully trained for delivery through attendance of the train the trainer day. All modules are fully resourced, with presentations, tutor notes, material and a dedicated online platform.
