The replacement for RAISEonline, ASP (Analyse School Performance), is due for release to secondary schools in December.
- What does it tell you about performance in your school?
- How can you use this information in your school?
- How is it different from RAISEonline?
- How will inspectors be using it to identify possible lines of enquiry in an inspection?
All school leaders will want to make sure that they can answer the above questions confidently. This one-day event will give school leaders and data managers the opportunity to explore how to access the information ASP provides and interpret it accurately. You’ll find out about the best charts and tables to use for a particular purpose and what the data doesn’t say so that it isn’t used inappropriately.
By the end of the day you will gain a clear understanding of the overall structure of ASP so that you can readily find and share the information you need.
ASP has a companion resource, Ofsted’s Inspection Dashboard Summary Report (IDSR), which is due out in January. This also has brand new content in a completely different format from the old version. A key area of focus of the day will be on how the two resources complement each other and how inspectors will use them alongside the Outcomes section of the common inspection framework.
Neither ASP nor the IDSR gives a complete view on progress at subject-level in schools. FFT Aspire does however, and is an invaluable aid to setting targets in the current climate of change and uncertainty. This event will demonstrate how FFT Aspire can be used both to review progress and to set challenging targets at school, group, subject and teacher-level.
Participants are encouraged to bring along laptops so that they can access their own ASP, IDSR and FFT Aspire reports during the day. Numbers attending will be limited to give everyone the chance to be supported when analysing their own data.
This event will be suitable for heads, deputy heads, assistant heads, middle leaders, aspiring heads, data managers and governors who want to learn more.
We also have another one-day event for Making the most of ASP and FFT Aspire in March
