Excellence, Opportunity and Aspiration in the Primary Curriculum
Curriculum has always been at the heart of what we do in schools. The new inspection framework has focused us even more on the importance of curriculum design and implementation as we strive to achieve our ambitions for our children.
Our first SSAT primary conference online will explore how we can ensure that from the moment each child begins their school journey the curriculum provides them with a lived daily experience that gives them the best possible start and:
- Ensures excellence which allows them to achieve their full potential
- Provides opportunity which develops the whole child and enables them to flourish
- Raises aspirations and widens horizons so that they are set for successful futures
Over the two mornings, there will be time to share vision and strategy for our school curriculum. We will also explore the principles of curriculum design rooted in evidence, research and practice.
The sessions, which will include contributions from schools across the network, keynote speakers and inputs from other SSAT partners are designed to bring together primary school leaders and teachers from different contexts. Opportunities for reflection and to ask questions will enable delegates to consider the next steps for their own schools.
Additional pre-recorded workshop sessions will be available to access at delegates’ convenience and will give leaders and teachers opportunity to explore how we can be more innovative in relation to our curriculum and how we can effectively evaluate our offer.
All content will be recorded and available for delegates to access after the event, giving scope for revisiting and focusing on key concepts relevant to your individual school, far more than if it were being delivered as a face to face event.
Delegates will leave the day inspired and equipped to continue their curriculum review, development and evaluation within their different school settings.
