Pupils as citizens of their school community, locality, nation and the world – from understanding to empathy, social action, enterprise and aspiration.
Over a number of years, Reid Street Primary School has built their curriculum (in its widest sense) based on a number of interlocking, mutually enhancing themes which provide the building blocks that enable pupils to aspire. These key elements support pupils to answer not just the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” but also, “Who do you want to be when you grow up?”
This experience-sharing session will cover:
- The whole curriculum – powerful knowledge; social justice; living your vision and the hidden curriculum
- Careers and Aspiration from Reception to Year 6
- Citizenship, civic engagement and enterprise
- The Global Goals and their associated characters
- Sharing your vision
