About St Louis Grammar School
St Louis Grammar School has been the top performing grammar school in Northern Ireland in terms of GCSE and A Level results for the last three consecutive years (2016-2019). This success has coincided with the introduction of the TEEP model of Learning and Teaching. In October 2017 all teaching staff at St Louis embarked on their TEEP journey with sixty-two members of staff trained in TEEP Level One. Following this a TEEP Learning and Teaching Committee was formed with the aim of embedding the TEEP model across the school. All staff and students are now very familiar with the TEEP learning cycle and there is a common language and consistency across the school. The development of the TEEP model is an integral part of the school development plan and the TEEP Learning and Teaching Committee deliver ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) on all elements of the TEEP model.
There is also a termly Learning and Teaching focus linked to the TEEP model. All fourteen members of the Learning and Teaching Committee are TEEP Level Two trained with three members of the Learning and Teaching Committee recently completing TEEP Level Three training in July 2019. The high quality of Learning and Teaching within the school was recently endorsed (The Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) Inspection Report February 2019) with all lessons observed rated as highly effective. The school is highly committed to the continuing development of the TEEP model and is delighted to be the first and only TEEP Ambassador School in Northern Ireland.
