Members’ Conference 2026
Monday 30 November 2026
We are delighted to invite you to join us on 30 November, for our 2026/27 member conference, as we celebrate forty years of SSAT.
We all know high-quality professional development is key to sustaining improvement and retention. However, getting it right during periods of significant educational change and stretched resources is challenging. How do leaders ensure professional learning meets the needs of all staff, addresses national and strategic priorities and has lasting impact? This is the focus for the SSAT member conference.
What will we cover?
We will explore three key questions:
- How can schools support their teams with national priorities through effective professional development?
- What are the key considerations for leaders of CPD when designing and implementing professional learning for staff?
- How can leaders evaluate and evidence the lasting impact of professional learning?
Our new Director of Education, Dr. Keven Bartle, will unpack whether shifts in national education policy represent an evolution or revolution. And we’ll consider practical approaches that help turn professional development into meaningful, measurable change.
Who should attend?
Any leader with responsibility for designing professional development at whole-school or MAT level.
