Maintaining practice in the longer term can be a challenge, even when something has worked well. As the EEF A School’s Guide to Implementation says:
“If an approach is working, and people think it is worth retaining, then efforts should be made to integrate it into the everyday life of the school”.
The importance of effective and consistent practice in formative assessment is now well-established.
Our Embedding Formative Assessment programme, written by Dylan Wiliam and Siobhan Leahy, has been shown in independent research trials (EEF) to have a demonstrable impact on the practice of teachers and outcomes for pupils.
This new offer for schools who have completed Embedding Formative Assessment, is designed to support your team in maintaining an ongoing commitment to understanding learners’ needs and improving classroom practice. It supports effective strategic leadership and the ongoing development of teachers’ expertise.
