SSAT Implementing Effective Change

By SSAT

Implementation matters. It matters what you do, and how you do it.

This SSAT programme is the result of a year-long ‘Working through others’ project with EEF, the Research Schools Network and schools in the SSAT network. Particular thanks to the following member schools for their contributions to the development of the work:

  • Corsham School
  • Eltham Hill School
  • Gunnersbury School
  • Hayling College
  • Ricards Lodge School
  • Upper Shirley High School

The workshops support participants to discuss the key learning in the EEF guidance report A School’s Guide to Implementation (2024) through practical examples and opportunities to apply ideas in practice. The series explores the process, behaviours and contextual factors needed for effective implementation. The workshops bring together SSAT’s expertise in delivering professional development and EEF’s A School’s Guide to Implementation (2024) to consider the practical implications of the guidance.

The workshops are relevant for staff at all levels, but may be of particular interest to senior and middle leaders.

The fully resourced workshops are available at no charge to SSAT member schools.

There are nine workshops in total – a foundation module produced by EEF that provides an introduction to the work and eight further workshops which explore the key questions set out below:

Each workshop comes with:

  • A slide deck
  • Facilitator notes
  • Printable resources where applicable.
