Making Student Leadership Effective

Student leadership enhancement involves giving students opportunities to practice a range of leadership skills in a supportive, learning and social environment where ‘successes’ and ‘errors’ are processed and reviewed.

Delivered by an experienced SSAT Education Lead, each workshop session is typically three hours long and involves interactive activities to help students practice and embed the relevant skills. Workshops can be delivered on a date and time convenient to you with a group of up to 30 students. You can also combine two workshops into a full day of active learning.
Starting with an online conversation to understand your context and requirements for training your student leaders, we will devise a bespoke offer that focuses on one of the six key areas that underpin our Student Leadership for IMPACT model. You can choose from modules that reflect the needs of your school from the infographic below, or together we can develop a new module.

Schools that take up SSAT’s Training for School Leaders will receive:
- In-person bespoke professional learning sessions aligned with the school’s aims
- Copies of the presentation slides and materials used in the training
- A student handbook for use during or after the training
- A certificate to show they have completed SSAT accredited training.
