Cut through the waffle, reduce workload
During his mainstage presentation at the SSAT National Conference 2015, Ross Morrison McGill (@TeacherToolkit) raced through one-hundred-and-fifty slides in just forty minutes. Throughout, he gave answers to the question ‘How would you reduce the burden of marking, planning and teaching for teachers?’
This week, we’re sharing five short films taken from Ross’ presentation. They are:
- What is a good teacher?
- Do we really need lesson plans?
- Marking is broken
- How we cut out the marking frenzy
- Flying Start.
Each film will be posted with a transcription that includes relevant and useful links. We begin tomorrow morning (Monday 15th) with the first film – What is a good teacher?
