Embedding Formative Assessment (EFA) resource

SSAT’s Embedding Formative Assessment digital resource is a two-year professional development pack that contains everything you need for a professional development day, together with additional tools for running 16 monthly follow-up teacher learning communities (TLCs). This pack is designed for primary, secondary and FE phases.

This newly updated resource contains new resources including new techniques, recording of Dylan Wiliam built into the workshops and taking it further handouts with QR codes and short links to additional recordings focusing on specific techniques.

This whole-school resource will help you to address the complex challenge of changing teacher practice. It will share what is known about the nature of expertise in teaching, why changing practice is so hard and help you to create a supportive environment for your teachers to develop and change habits together.

As well as providing techniques for implementing formative assessment, the EFA resource explores the issues surrounding teacher learning communities (TLCs) and includes films of Dylan Wiliam, classroom practice, case studies as well as interviews with teachers and students.

To ensure that the programme is implemented effectively, we offer our expertise to support schools implementing the resource using our expertise gained through the EEF EFA research trial involving 140 schools and 25,000 students.
