Leading Change Issue 10 – Autumn 2014

By SSAT Leading Edge
Publication Date: 2014

Issue 10 of Leading Change begins by revisiting the implementation of inquiry-based learning at Ilford County High School and its adaptation based on experience and evolving educational demands. The school emphasises positive learning habits and personal development within the constraints of a high-performance environment.

Reflective practices take center stage in an article about Meols Cop High School’s approach to lesson observations and the development of teachers through a professional portfolio. The school aims to create a culture of reflection, collaboration, and aspiration, ensuring that teachers contribute to the overall quality of teaching.

Wade Deacon High School’s involvement in the SSAT Achievement Show inspires a local adaptation called the Wade Deacon Achievement Show. This internal event allows teachers to share innovative teaching and learning ideas, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the school.

The journal covers diverse topics from leading whole school CDP through TLCs, student impact, working with the community, the impact of the TEEP framework and critical thinking.

Staff members located in Leading Edge Network schools have access to this Journal as a membership benefit.
